Welcome Messages
The Welcome Messages page allows you to manage all the introductory messages displayed when a user opens Smart Assistant. These messages are designed to shape the first impression, guide users from the very first interaction, and adapt the assistant’s tone depending on your brand and communication strategy.
Welcome Messages provide a flexible system where you can define:
- The text of the welcome message
- The creativity level, which influences how much Smart Assistant will improvise
- A weight value that affects the likelihood of a message showing over others
- Start and end dates for scheduling
This gives marketing and CX teams full control over how the assistant greets users, adjusts tone, and balances different welcome styles over time.
Period selection and filters
At the top of the page, you can filter welcome messages by date range. The available options include Last week, Last month, Last year, or a Custom range.
To refine results, use the Filter Options panel:
- Start Date: show welcome messages starting on or after a selected date
- End Date: show welcome messages ending on or before a selected date
Click Apply to refresh results or Reset to clear all filters.

Welcome Messages Table
This table displays all existing welcome messages. Each row shows relevant information used to prioritize, schedule, and manage messages.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Internal name of the welcome message. Clicking it opens the detail view. |
| Message | The greeting text displayed to the user. |
| Weight | Probability factor used when multiple active welcome messages are available. |
| Creativity | Creativity level used by Smart Assistant when generating the final response. |
| Start – End Dates | Scheduled range during which the message can be shown. |
| Actions | Quick actions: View, Edit, Duplicate, Delete. |

Creating a new Welcome Message
Click New Message to open the creation panel. The configuration form includes the following fields:
- Name: internal name used for identification
- Message: the welcome text shown to the user
- Weight: number defining the probability of appearing vs. other active messages
- Creativity: LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH — determines how much Smart Assistant can rewrite or expand the message
- Start Date: when the welcome message becomes eligible to appear
- End Date: when it stops being shown

How Weight works
Weight determines the probability that a welcome message is selected when several are active:
- Messages with higher weight values have a higher chance of being shown
- Weight does not affect visibility if the message is inactive or outside its date range
Example:
| Message | Weight | Probability |
|---|---|---|
| A | 0.5 | ~25% |
| B | 0.5 | ~25% |
| C | 1 | ~50% |

Notes and Recommendations
- Use different creativity levels to test conversational tone and identify which approach resonates best with users.
- Combine multiple messages with different weights to diversify greetings while keeping control of which ones appear more often.
- Keep welcome messages short, friendly, and aligned with your brand voice — this is your assistant’s “first impression.”
- Schedule variations based on seasons, campaigns, or traffic peaks.
- Allow time for updates to propagate through the system after editing or activating messages.
